Call for Papers
The 8th International Workshop on Heat/Mass Transfer Advances for Energy Conservation and Pollution Control (IWHT) and 5th International Conference on Energy Storage and Saving (ICENSS) (jointly named IWHT-ICENSS-2026), hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Xi’an Jiaotong University, will take place from October 30 to November 2, 2026.
This premier academic event brings together global researchers, engineers, and industry leaders to explore cutting-edge advances in energy storage, energy saving, and heat/mass transfer technologies. It aims to bridge academic innovation with industrial application, addressing critical challenges in the global energy and environmental landscape.
Abstract submission will officially open on February 5, 2026. We invite original, unpublished research contributions on topics including (but not limited to)
Energy saving technology
Enhanced heat/mass transfer
Thermal/electrochemistry energy storage
Hydrogen, batteries and fuel cells
Pollutant emission reduction
Energy storage materials
Advanced thermal systems

Abstracts and full papers share the same submission portal. Upon submission of the full paper, the organizing committee will retain the original abstract submission ID as the unique manuscript ID.

If you plan to attend the conference and deliver an oral presentation, submission of a full manuscript is not required; only the accepted abstract is sufficient. The conference proceedings will consist of accepted abstracts. Authors who voluntarily submit full manuscripts may have their papers considered for recommendation to the journals: Energy Storage and Saving, Applied Thermal Engineering, and Heat Transfer Engineering.
